"I Don't!" Wednesday

One of the blogs I often read, Jenna's Journey, hosts "I Don't!" Wednesday, and since it seems I need some inspiration to keep this blog up (obviously... when was the last post?!? um, yeah) I'm participating! So, here we go...

I DON'T....

1.) pay regular price for pretty much ANYTHING. Go ahead, try me.

2.) like to get gas. I will drive with my gas light on for close to two days.

3.) like Coca-Cola. Ew. Yuck. GROSS. I do, however, like diet Coke.

4.) have any trouble sleeping, EVER. Seriously, I will sleep whenver, wherever. Just say go.

5.) like Skittles. Once again, EW, YUCK, GROSS.

There ya have it... happy Wednesday! I know I'm happy, only 2 more days until my hubby comes home! =)

Things I love Thursday

I am going to participate in my first "day of the week" themed blog post. Exciting huh? Yeah, I'm sure! =)

I love all sorts of things. However, the thing that comes to mind today is coupons.

Yes, I do *love* them. I have really gotten a knack for bargain shopping and in turn I have saved my families buckets of moo-lah. Who doesn't love that? However, in all honesty, coupons and I kind of have a "love-hate" relationship. You see, I have a really busy life. I certainly do not have time to cut out every single coupon of every single insert I accumulate from various sources. I find myself racking my brain for ways to organize them and it just stresses me out! I usually cut the coupons I need after consulting various deal blogs and then only take those with me to the stores. But WITHOUT FAIL I will see a product marked down that would be free or close to it with a coupon that I DON'T HAVE WITH ME. grrrrrr! OR I will take coupons with me and the products will be sold out at the store. Then, that poor coupon usually gets thrown in with the various other stuff that falls into my purse that I haven't cleaned out in 6 months. Never to be seen again. Long story short, I need a better system.

Alas, though, I do love my coupons. It's funny because my poor husband loves the money we save but hates the coupon clutter. When we straiten up the house and my coupons are laying out, he can feel my eyes like daggers if he even comes CLOSE to touching them. Poor guy. He's learning to just let them be and accept that the coupon clutter craziness is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Tonight was awesome. We (Chris, Chris's parents, I) took Jaxson to see Thomas and Friends Live. Wow! They put on a fantastic show.

Jaxson was absolutely mesmerized by it. He clapped and tooted his little horn and had a ball. It's always thrilling to see him so into something and just happy. It literally brought tears to my eyes (okay, and I might be SERIOUSLY PMSing and SERIOUSLY emotional too...just a little bit! :) )
